Eloise's parents still have not noticed she's gone, apparently. Her sister wrote her a letter just the other day informing her of such.

She's not sure if it's funny or just plan depressing.

Eloise is quite proud of her Quidditch team. Hufflepuff did a very good job!

She is, however, quite worried that writing in her journal is going to get her more detention. It's far too nice a day out to be doing things indoors with a house elf glaring over your shoulder the whole time.

Although she is enjoying her new lessons. Which is strange, as she didn't expect to. Professor Malfoy has a good approach. At least, that's what Eloise thinks. And she's never been one to suck up, as far as she knows.

Speaking of which, it's time for her homework. But Eloise just wanted the Badgers to know she thinks they did wonderfully!

Oh, Eloise cannot BELIEVE this.

She is quite sure that Professor Malfoy will be an excellent teacher, but really it is a poor excuse to give out detention!

Really, she's far more concerned about her words about Hermione. She's very sorry to have butted in.

Eloise had quite a nice holiday. She didn't really want to come back, but it's only for a few more months. Exams will come and go, and then she'll have to find a job and all that. It's strange to think that in that time, we'll be considered adults. Fully functional, based on our age and marks, apparently.

Eloise is almost certain she is not ready. But she supposes most people do, at this stage. It should pass.

Eloise doesn't mean to sound harsh, but she really can't see what all the fuss is about.

She has never had any boy pay attention to her, and is much better for it! At least, Eloise thinks so.

She just doesn't like to see her friends sad, that is all.

Eloise's hat has gone missing. She's sure she didn't take it off her head, which means someone would be having a go with her. She's glad for the distraction, do not get her wrong! Only her head is starting to get a bit chilly.

Also, does anyone have any of that hot cocoa she's heard so much about?

It most certainly looks to Eloise that everyone is having a good summer. That is quite nice to hear, as she is actually a bit bored. Of course, that is quite normal for Eloise at any rate, so she is not complaining.

Eloise was also wondering if anyone would care to meet with her in Diagon Alley this weekend. Her owl Chester is a bit off, and a Tonic is required from Eeylops Owl Emporium for Seven Sickles. Eloise thinks Chester is worth it.

If not, she understands completely.

It's a strange sort of day, really. Eloise had to clean her room, you
see, and lo and behold, this journal had eaten it's way through her
matress. Rather strange, don't you think? At any rate, Eloise is just
happy to have an easier way to stay in contact with her friends.
Hannah? Zacharias? Ernie? Is everyone having a lovely summer?

It's time for Eloise to go downstairs for luncheon though, and after
that her mum would like her to tend the garden a bit. She does hope
everyone's having a lovely summer though! Goodbye!
